[QUOTE="clintbailey, post: 3407096, member: 8544"] Just kidding, its never too early (or late) to smoke a coyote! Wife had dr appts today, so instead of driving 1.5-2 hrs getting to TX and back for work, just to work a couple hours, I took the whole day off. I put a new Vortex Diamondback Tactical scope on my 22-243 a while back, got it sighted in and some dope figured a week or two back. Ran out this morning to glass some big fields, and spotted this male at first stop, probably 400 yards from county road. Parked and snuck through the trees to a high spot just on west edge of trees, he was still out mousing. I got set up on rest, and once he cleared irrigation pivot, I barked him still and dropped him at 225 yards. Other stops were empty, so went home to get ready for appts.
