Didn't have any luck with coyotes, so I went looking for the hogs. Been getting a lot of pictures of them at night. Ive been out there quite a bit and haven't had any luck finding them during the day, until now.

Rifle is Ruger American Ranch 7.62x39 with Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 and I was using Hornady SST bullets.

Man that has got to be tough carrying all the equipment and stalking trying not to get spotted.
Great job Congrats on the awesome shot.
That size would make excellent breakfast sausage..
I got one that dressed out at 60 lbs in January from a public hunting area.Ate all that breakfast sausage already..I got to get me some more.
I like those little piggies better than deer for breakfast sausage.

Try this recipe.
4 cups ground pork. You got to toss the fat in it ..if it is lean then cook in a table spoon of butter and spoon butter over it.
That is what i do with deer meat breakfast sausage, same recipe.

Ok 4 cups ground meat. or 2 lbs if you weigh it.
2 teaspoons ground sage.
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper.
1 teaspoon salt.
1 teaspoon tender quick.
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper.
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar.
All measurements are heaping.
Mix all the spices in a small bowl spread out the ground meat and sprinkle spices evenly over the ground meat.

Now mix the meat and spices together.
If you over mix it the sausage will be tougher. That is why I spread out the meat to get more even coat of the spices and less mixing.
Cook it and enjoy.

For Italian sausage you add 1 more ingredient to the above spices.
2 teaspoons ground Fennel.
That is for your spaghetti etc.

Again awesome shot on the Piggie Love it!!

Yea carrying everything and trying to video alone is definitely a challenge.
That sounds like a good recipe you posted there.

What was the range?

Probably about 130 yards.
