Great video, I watched it thinking "Not a job for me" LOL However much they get paid, its not enough.
I keep having this mental image of him starting work at the very top
and
dropping a special wrench.

HA. At that height the tool would be embedded in the ground about 2+ feet. Or in somebody. 
Phone lineman is working in this kids back yard.
He goes up the pole and starts working... Phone guy drops his screw driver.
He climbs down and the kid hands it to him..."my Dad works for the electric company...he climbs poles too. Dad say you should carry 2 screw drivers in case you drop one"
Phone guy goes back up and works a while... drops his roll of tape...
He gets to the ground and the kid says, "Dad says he always carries 2 rolls of tape...in case he drops one...."
Of course, the phone man drops a couple of other item and they kid tells him that "dad carries 2"
Phone guy gets done with the job. He gets behind a bush to take a leak. Of course the kid is standing there...
" I suppose your Dad has 2 of these", says the irritated phone tech.
"Na", says the kid, "but his would make 2 of yours!"
