Thanks, pen25!

I've been going through my (old) Lyman shotshell manual and some other data trying to kinda' make a compilation of different loads, as well as making note of all the loads mentioned here. Started taking inventory of all the cases and wads I have, and ran into a major disappoint. The huge bag of AA's I knew I had have gone missing! Surely I didn't give them away?!?!?!?! I've got some Champion II's but not a great lot. Oh, well. At least once fired hulls are not all that expensive.

standard 1 oz load for practice.

17gr reddot/promo
aa/universal/remington(any color)
cci 209/winchester 209/remington 209 primers
cb1100 wads.

this works great for all three.

for us skeet though more and more are dropping down to 3/4oz loads using Claybuster 0175
+1 for 3/4 oz skeet loads. I have been loading 3/4 oz. shot, 15.5 gr 700X, Win 209 primer, CB0175-12 wad, Win AA hull. No recoil in my sub 8 lb. O/U and breaks skeet targets well.

I use this load 7/8 for 5-stand and pasture "skeet". It has a little more recoil but breaks targets well.

7/8 oz shot, 17 gr 700X, Win 209 primer, DRXXL pink wad, Rem STS hull. This load could be dropped to 16 or 16.5 gr for less recoil/more shot on the skeet field.

I believe Alliant has a similar load using Red Dot powder.
