Just stumbled onto this thread, and read most of it. I remember the "Egg Traps" from almost 30 years ago being advertised before the DP market really hit. Don't recall who made the Egg Traps, but they cost as much each as several 1.5 CS's back then so I never used them being a poor teenaged trapper. I have a couple of the DP traps, and wish now I had spent the $$$ on them when I was really into trapping in the late 90's, would've saved me a lot of work and made me more money!
I pulled them in February as i hadn't trapped one in a month and a half. I'll get them back out for nesting season shortly.
