The spot behind the house has been a mess. Two different feeders and now put a pen up to keep the hogs away. Still have the coons and I was fine with that but they’ve been on the porch eating the cat food and getting after them. So I set some dog proof traps with marshmallows to get em out of here. Not so dog proof apparently. Released him successfully. I believe I did the right thing and no laws broken. Probably get questioned now for posting but thought I’d share for learning experience in releasing from one of these traps. I had no idea how until a friend explained it to me. Video too big to post so here’s some pics.

Good looking gray too. You can also take piece of plywood that's about 3' wide by 3' or 4' tall, in the bottom cut an upside down V in middle. Walk up to the animal(not a skunk) and use the board to push the animal back as the chain/cable, trap and leg slides through the notch. Then while still holding the board, you can step on the sides of a steel trap, or step on the spring of a dog proof. The animal is already pulling with all its might so as soon as there's any tension relief the foot comes out. Works on all animals but not brave enough to try it on a skunk lol.
