For those going to the Tulsa show, I recommend buying tickets prior to getting there or you'll be a a long, long line. One other piece of advice for those new to the Tulsa show. If you find something you want, you might want to buy it then. If you wait until you've seen the rest of the show, you'll either forget where you saw it or someone will have bought it before you can get back to it. I've had tables at the spring and fall Wannamaker shows since the mid 80's and I know this by experience; on both sides.

The show is laid out in grid which is available when you enter. Bring a note pad in your shirt pocket to chart tables you may want to return to. Bring lots of cash and above all, wear comfortable shoes. Those concrete floors take a toll on us old guys.

They advertise prominently that no loaded firearms (open OR concealed) are allowed. According to their signs, "... a gun show is no place for a loaded gun" - which makes little sense to me, especially when concealed licensees are included in the prohibition.
Because just a large percentage of “gun carriers” are pretty stupid. I have been near two discharges in that show. One was a dealer setting up on Friday directly across from our tables, and the other was a spectator in the aisle hat decided to try to load a 45. Those are the two that were too close to me, but there have been a pretty good number of “mishaps” during gun shows. Mostly in Tulsa, if that means anything. It would seem that shows tend to bring out those that sometimes feel the need to “show what they got”

But even with that, shows can be a heck of a good way to spend a Saturday.

I have been near two discharges in that show.

One year I got there in the AM and a section was blocked off with yellow tape. A dealer had inadvertently brought a loaded shotgun which discharged, shattering glass display cases and wounding the guy next to him.

I was told security escorted him out immediately and banned him in perpetuity from the shows.
