i was really surprised how well the birds were responding in this wind. only managed to get the attention of the jakes though. had to run one off before he torn my decoy up!

You guys are killing me. Congrats on the action so far! With young kids, I can't venture too far from home yet and all the public land nearby gets hunted hard. I've learned my lesson about public land near me during turkey season and have given up on it. I'll stick to fishing for now, during turkey season.
