[QUOTE="makeithappen, post: 3348435, member: 24464"] I got out for the opener yesterday. My wife and i agreed that I basically had only yesterday to hunt so I would avoid venturing out more than necessary with the virus crap. I located a bird at the only remaining roost I know of, thanks to the place being clear cut currently.... I setup 100 yards from him. There's usually 10+ birds there, but he was alone. I called twice between 6:15 and 6:45. He flew down 20 yards from me behind brush. He began to work to my north, behind me. I called twice and he came back quick, circling to my left. He popped out, I saw a beard and dang near removed his head. He landed about 5 yards away from me, due to the shockwave. I couldn't have been happier with everything going on in life to have success so quickly. I got a bonus beard on him too, for my first double bearded bird. That roost will be cut down in the next month and I'll be looking for a new place to hunt.
