Twitter Hacked - Cyberwar?

Twitter accounts of Obama, Biden, Elon Musk and numerous prominent people have been hacked. Twitter is not yet able to regain control of their system.

Messages requesting people send Obama or ....(whomever)... bitcoin and they will receive double the amount back. That is what the press is going with but the amounts of bitcoin being gained are relatively small.

Alternative explanation is a state level attack. Yesterday Trump threatened to seize the assets of anyone harming HongKong. The PLA has the ability and the motivation to be doing this attack.
