I'm intrigued by these cheap (but decent) 9mm's.

I'm a .mil collector so they don't fit my collection...usually.

I just bought a Canik TP9 SF elite because it was adopted my the Turk .mil.

Damn if that isn't a really nice shooting pistol.
ah i love my caniks. i've got that one and also an aluminum cz sp-01 clone they made. really awesome clone, tons of parts interchange with my sp-01, and it looks and shoots great. it was sold under the Tristar moniker, but it's a canik.

that being said, the canik tp9 is a way better deal and firearm imo simply because the walther p99 is a way better firearm than a glock.

I've heard good things about them, but never had a reason to get one until now. I'm impressed.

It's funny because Glock took flak for some years for not listening to what the market wants.
(We finally got some of those things with the gen 5s.)

So all these companies with opportunities to make those things happen, and they just pump out a copy of what we already have.

This thread is the first I've heard of this ..
I think maybe I'll write, and ask for a custom slide that has my name engraved on it. Oh wait, they ALL have my family name on the slide. I wonder if I ask nicely, they'll just send me a demo model for evaluation? They can't argue that it's named for the horse, because the horse is named after my family.....cue litigation.

I am always interested in new entries. I don’t remember any snide remarks as additional mfgs introduced their versions of 1911’s. Everything is similar in some way. I’m sure I will try one of these at some point.
