[QUOTE="Catt57, post: 2755357, member: 34578"] Over the last few months I have been slowly reviving my old gill guns. I have posted each one here as they were done but here is the full set all together. Some were minor finish touchup others complete strip and start over. In order. 1949 Savage 6A - just recoated the finish to restore the shine 1950 Stevens 87A - moderate finish touchup and reapply the buckhorn painted forend, repainted trigger guard 1948 Springfield 87A - complete stock strip, sand, stain, and refinish , repainted trigger guard 1951 Ward's Westernfield 87-SB87-TA - complete strip of wood and metal. Reblued metal and refinished stock and reblued trigger guard. I have a sling for it but am still waiting for the swivel stud\mount to arrive in the mail.
