UPS no longer shipping ammo?

Just left my local UPS hub here in Guymon. They couldn’t ship any packages today because their internet is down but as I was walking back out the guy told me “oh and you’ll have to change the box it’s in since it has the hazardous label”. I said, “yeah I know, this is ammunition.”

UPS guy said, “yeah we don’t ship that anymore. He looked at his computer and said, Yup, as of September 1st we don’t ship any firearms or ammunition, explosive devices.. etc etc.”

I just walked out.

Anyone hear this before? UPS hasn’t updated their website if this is true.

I just got off the phone with Customer Service and he said that he shows nothing about it. He said try again with them tomorrow.

He double checked for me and said my Guymon one is not a franchise store.

ups stores are independent, not actually Ups

Ups stores aren't allowed to accept ammo shipments. You have to have a Ups pickup account or take to an actual Ups building Customer service counter.
