yukon ok
I was sitting here eating a bowl of honey nut cheerios (generic)
And I am eating it with a spoon with US stamped on it made by SILCO.
I thought I would research it ..it came from my wife's grandfathers place in Cameron Missouri.
He probably got it in a box of stuff from the local "Sale Barn"
A weekly auction house that sells junk you know and some good stuff.

Anyway I assume I got the last model of spoon issued by the looks of it.

Enjoy the reading and pictures of the Old and newer Mess kits and all the goodies that go with them.
Including the "Haversack"

Here is a mess kit not mentioned in the PDF file. An officer's mess kit. I have the full set except the coffee pot. If anyone runs across one shoot me a PM.
