So they opened the can of worms to squeeze in some lesser restrictions and let the gun lobby feel like they 'won a victory' by getting a slightly lesser infringement.

So far...

We don't know how far it will go, but they've already passed the bill restricting firearms at the capital, and we know they aren't going to retract all aspects of the several bills they were bringing forward. They will still pass restrictions, and they managed to give the gun lobby the crumb for this year, and they'll take what they can get this year... and come back for the rest next year, or the next, or the next.

Pretty much correct. They needed to get the politicians to roll the regs back to “shall not be infringed” [emoji631][emoji631]
