Good afternoon Gentlemen!
I am selling a couple of Ruger Blackhawks for my sister that were her husbands that passed away late last year. I am a semi-auto guy and have no real clue what these would be worth in the market these days. Both are in good shape, with the only wear I could see is on the front sights of both revolvers. Probably holster wear but I'm not sure.
The first one is a Ruger New model Blackhawk in .357cal. it also comes with an extra cylinder. The second is a Ruger New model Blackhawk in .41 cal. It has rubber aftermarket grips but I do have the original wood grips. The wood grips would need to be refinished to be useable.
I just want t get my sister fair market for these cause she could really use the money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I assume the one with the extra cylinder is .357/9mm?

This is from the 42nd Edition Gun Trader's Guide. In my recent experience, these values are probably low in today's world, so take them FWIW, probably as a starting point. They don't really show any distinction in value based on barrel length. I could easily see them selling for more than the NIB value, even if they show reasonable wear.

Ruger New Model Blackhawk Convertible, .357/9mm combo
New in Box: $556 Excellent Condition: $386 Good Condition $259

Ruger New Model Blackhawk SA Revolver
NIB: $464 Exc: $326 Good: $203

I might have a bit of a three screw Blackhawk problem.

As is with all other revolvers...GOING prices have risen 25% in the last 12 months. However, I'm seeing more and more revolvers of all makes sitting on Gunbroker with high prices and zero bids.

I bought a ~95% .357 (three screw) in 2017 for $459 without box, and a ~ 98% .41 three screw in 2019 for $650 with box.

I lost on an auction six months ago on a new model stainless in .357, which ended up selling for over $700.

I would say that the .357 (assuming the extra cylinder is 9mm) is a $6-700 revolver currently, and the .41 with a bit more wear is a $5-600 gun. Add $100 for box and paperwork.

Condition is everything. Like the others have said, the box adds value. Gunbroker prices are almost always higher than what you are going to get for a firearm in Oklahoma by about 10%. Gunbroker also charges the seller 5% of the sale price. To get the best price, I would look to sell it locally because shipping firearms is a pain if you don't have an FFL, and gun dealers will offer you about 60% +/-10% of the value since they are in it to make a profit as that is their source of income.

IMO, I think the value on the 41 mag is about $450-550 range based on the condition I can see in the photos, and the convertible 357 is in the $600-700 range. I would start off a little higher than that expecting to haggle.

Good luck with your sale. You should have no problem since they are quality firearms in popular calibers.

Values HAVE been up, over the past year. But, are coming down. Looking at listings and seeing "asking price", doesn't equate to selling price.

I shoot Cowboy Action and have 8 Blackhawks. The shorter barrels are more sought after, but not necessarily more valuable. I didn't see a mention of barrel length. Condition doles affect value. As well as, having the box and paperwork (to some people).

IMHO, the .41 is $400-$450
The .357/9mm is $450-$550
With top price being very good condition and a very willing buyer.
