Vierling rifle with 4 barrels

3K is pretty low for one of that quality. Back when I had money I passed up a beautiful drilling for 3k. I had money but also even more sense.

Oh, the one TDoug posted, you would at least add another zero to that ... at least! I've fondled some double rifles that were not nearly that fancy, but were quality guns, and were in the $30K+ range. I never was really into drillings, but always wanted a nice, shooter, double rifle. Nothing fancy, just a serviceable shooter in something like .450/400. The closest I ever got was one the guy had about $1,250 invested in. He wanted to more than triple his money, so I walked away. I'm not sure I could have walked away from that drilling for $3K if I had the money at the time. Excellent investment!
