I still remember those pigmy rattlers from Ft. Polk in 1970. They serve no purpose on earth, kinda like Ms Nancy.
Ahh what a beautiful place to forget and to see the last of in my rear view mirror.............after 14 months of my senior trip in S.E. Asia in the early 60's l had to be assigned to that hell hole l guess for past transgressions 😡

Poisonous snakes have a short lifespan around our place but I do love my black snakes. They keep the rodents at bay most of the year. Traps in the winter.
Venomous snakes. If you eat it, breathe it, or get it on your skin or in your eyes, and it kills you, it's poisonous. If it bites you or spits at you, and you die from the bite or spit, it's venomous.

I live in town, so venomous snakes get to die when/if I find them. Non-venomous snakes get a free pass. If I lived in the country and wasn't keeping live stock, it might be a different story.
