“The ODWC doesn't receive any funding from property or income tax.”

So the goal of the ODWC is to fleece non-residents even if they own their land.:thumb:

According to the 2019 Red River Rivalry, Oklahoma owns Texas and we still have to pay the non resident fees to hunt in Texas. Lol

If your over 65 yrs old and a resident of Oklahoma you don't have to buy a fishing license or any saltwater permits in Tx.

This is what mine looks like, I purchased mine online and had to check the resident box to have the other $20 hunting license removed. So to save 20 is nice , but as I understand if I am not on the land I live on or lease, the other license needs to be purchased.

Yes. You have to purchase tags for each buck, each Turkey and so on.
If you put pencil to paper and your a hunter that goes after multiple specie, it won’t take long to see a lifetime license is the way to proceed.
A lot of us on this forum have paid for ours multiple times over in savings vs buying individual tags.

So does the lifetime license mean no tags are needed? That sounds like a deal if so!

This is a little confusing since states like CO don’t have hunting “licenses”. They have seasonal tags for things like deer, specific to a game management unit. So as a recent immigrant to Oklahoma I’d read that as my land = nothing needed.

So as a landowner, I am to understand I DO need a deer tag, just no license?

what the hell is the license for then?
