Updated: Man, I do love to shoot this Walther! It is incredibly accurate; especially so for such a small gun with such a short barrel. (I've been dealing with a short-shooter purty much all my life though so no big deal...) It is so accurate partly because of the fixed barrel. But the recoil on this little beast is more than that on a lightweight 1911 chambered in .45 Auto. Now, I am not a recoil-gina, so it doesn't bother me; but those with more sensitive mitts or little soft girly-hands may not likey. I'm in the search mode now for more grips for it. I'm a huge sucker for fancy, or cool grips for those guns on which the grips can be swapped out. I'd love to find some nice G-10's or a set in Ivory Micarta. Imma go break it out of the safe and just look at it for awhile...gun porn...me likey.

Ran down to Big Boys and put 100 rounds through this pistol again today. As Walther PPK types go, this one has a pretty stout pull, especially in double action. Even the single action trigger is about 7.5 lbs but it's got a nice let-off and the rounds will go where you have it so aligned. It is a heavy piece too but the fixed barrel does cause this pistol to have a fair punch recoil wise. I sure do have a lot of fun shooting this thing.

That's very cool. I mean, not cool your gun gives you trouble, but a fine illustration of the problem.

Thank you. By the way, if you are doing push-ups per the instructions given in post #4, you may now recover. So, I thought I'd post a few more pics. : (Pic #4 is my Stainless one that has been set aside for my new Grandson along with the new one).

One last pic. My mom actually used a PPK in her...um...in her business; back in the 50's I think. She was a driver for a couple of gentlemen who were involved in the...uh...in the ... uh...banking business. Actually, it was a very mobile kind of banking business...almost exclusively withdrawals. Anyway; here's Mom:

Post some decent pictures of your Grandson's pistol.

Okay; I bought this Stainless PPK/S brand new back in 1995. Had a little engraving done with my initials and last name inscribed in a banner that is engraved under the ejection port. In pic #1, she's wearing a set of Oak Leaf Grips in Rosewood from Altamont. Pic #2 is with the stock black grips. The pistol has been retired now and sits safely at my daughter's house now waiting on the little booger to get a little bigger maybe. Anyway, here's a couple of pics of it:
