This was my sentiment, pretty much. Fewer vendors than in the past, and when we were there between 8 and 12, it seemed like the crowd was on the light side of moderate. Small traffic jams here and there, but in the main, walking around wasn’t a big deal. Ditto the masks, very much in the minority. What I noticed most was how, compared to past shows, fewer people were walking around with firearms for sale. I also didn’t see a lot of firearms being moved off tables, but people were staggering out with a case or two of ammo. Made me shudder to think of how much those buyers got screwed, though of course some of them had little choice. I ran into a couple people from this forum, but I confess I couldn’t place a screen name with the face - my apologies! I think my girlfriend got more attention on whole ;) I did have an amusing experience right before we left, after I bought two M1 Garand stocks for a buddy. A tall fellow stopped us and said, “I see you have a rare Garand, and you’re carrying two Garand stocks. Are you a Garand expert, because I have a question?” I had to admit I didn’t know that much about Garands, but I’d try to help. Turned out, he was looking for a stock for a 5.3M Springfield, so I was able to offer some advice including keeping an eye on the CMP forum. All in all, my gf and I enjoyed ourselves, she got two new sets of custom ear plugs from the vendor on the far east end of the lower level, and we were glad to see the big show back in business.
