Message: <blockquote data-quote="SlugSlinger" data-source="post: 3217268" data-attributes="member: 7248">I’m not sure you mean it the way it sounded, but the pinch in resources is artificial due to the lack of a way to transport natural gas, mainly pipelines.  Look at Texas in the Permian.  They are flaring gas because of the lack of infrastructure.  And the spot price is a dime per mmbtu.  It’s much cheaper to flare it than pay to transport it.  Compare that to Sumas where the high demand in the north west coupled with the pipeline rupture in Canada drove the price to a record $200.  That said, the only pinch in resources is caused by liberals.  Natural gas is a great transition energy from heating oil and coal until there is a real alternative energy source.</blockquote>
