Which range are you talking about? The High Power Range was open two weekends ago, I saw a competition in progress. As SMS said, you have to go through an orientation to use that range. The bench rest range was open, I shot on it. The 300 meter Silhouette was open last weekend, I saw a competition in progress.

What used to be the 100 yard black powder range has been rebuilt / split into two ranges, and re-opened.

Must’ve been a different range. I don’t recall the highpower range being closed in recent history.

Was a member of OKCGC years ago, had to give it up, just rejoined this year. Great place, they have something for everyone that enjoys the shooting sports.

I just moved a mile away from the okcgc, dues are a little steep to me since I’m more just a recreational shooter.
Do you all feel it’s worth the cost? How busy is it on the weekends? Id hate to pay that much and have to wait for a lane to open when I decide to go.

i always go to the black powder range, it's only 100 yards but usually you have the entire range to yourself. also i try to be a weekday shooter, there might only be a dozen folks on the whole property during the week

If there is a match, that particular range is closed for the duration of the match.
There are plenty of other ranges to use though.

    A lane at which range?

I go on Monday’s during the day and often have multiple ranges to myself. Also been on weekday evenings and never seen another human.

Saturday and Sunday might be a bit busier but there are so many range options that you’re bound to find something free.

Go to the unkept, un-monitored Public Ranges and you will quickly see that OKCGC is a heck of a value! And since you are so close, you will be able to drop by more often than those of us that drive 30 miles to get there.

Best deal on the planet if you like competitive shooting and recreational shooting.
