Watch us get a good snow storm up north the week after the season closes.

That's definitely happened before, but there were still more birds around than there is now. One we were set up for snow geese and had a flock of pins that must have been over 100 plus. They decoyed and hovered right over our layouts probably a dozen times that afternoon lol.

Couple of firsts this morning. Missed the X (not a first). Moved to it and birds quit flying (again not a first). Got a double on drake ringnecks and tag teamed a drake canvasback. I've never shot either of those birds before.

I'm thinking so. Got them both in the freezer. I wouldn't normally consider a ringneck, but he has good colors. I now have 4 birds in the freezer for the taxidermist... might have to cut down on how many I store for fly tying lol.

Went back yesterday and setup on the previous day's X. Not many birds around but what were there landed within 80 yards. I surprised myself and called in 3 geese after hearing a few honks in the distance. They committed right into the spread of mallard and pintail decoys lol

We couldn't buy a bonus bird yesterday if we tried. Heard 2 teal but never saw them. 0 birds on 12 ponds. They were only on this flood control or a beaver flooded area.
