Typically 10 or less decoys. The more birds I’m seeing the fewer decoys I put out. When I’m not seeing many I’ll pile out a dozen and a half or so. Just hoping it will attract birds meandering by.

I ditched my jerk rig and bought a Higdon pulsator this year. Much easier to set up and moves quite a bit a water. I like it so much I may invest in another.

Although I agree jerk rigs work well.

Funny how many guys are ditching the mojos!

Less is more in my opinion. I almost never put out more than a dozen. Lately it’s been 6 with 3 more on the jerk rig. If it’s windy then just the 6.

sitting here debating going in the morning.... this weather is too nice. I know we are having birds go back north right now. Normal years this isn’ta big deal but this year birds didn’t make it south of us to come back through.

Few birds around this morning, didn't cooperate. Outfitters were banging away, I've never heard anything like it. 3 hours of solid gun fire from 2 different locations, 10-20 guns each I'm guessing.
