Just a woodie and a GWT this morning.
That is all we saw and they went down. Not seeing near the ducks we were two weeks ago or so. Very slow.

Today was a little on the slow side. But I still managed to scratch out a one man limit. The ducks that were there worked really really well. I was able to shoot my six birds with only eight shots.
The numbers that Salt Plains posted this week showed less that 8000 ducks, and if I remember correctly, the last count showed over 30k.
Wow Retrieverman, I don't doubt it one bit. Another big cold front will be nice.
I guess it's time to kill a deer.
I remember back in the early 90’s when they posted bird counts for salt plains. They quit, saying it was to costly to take counts with the airplane. I guess they are taking counts again?
