[QUOTE="makeithappen, post: 3316600, member: 24464"] The highlight of the day was my daughter asking to go with me. The truck registered 22 degrees when we parked. Anyone with growing kids knows the pain of keeping them outfitted with camo, especially cold weather gear. I wrapped my heavy coat around her and had hand warmers in her gloves and shoes. With an extra 2' of water in the watershed after the rains, we guessed wrong as to where the birds would be. We moved and the birds all but quit flying. I dropped a pair of mallards then we went and jumped ponds to keep her warm and engaged. Around 1130 I stated we needed to go because I promised my wife we'd be home around lunch. My daughter groaned and asked to stay longer. Win! She asked to go back next weekend already. We did find a few slabs of honeycomb which still smelled like honey. She thought that was cool.
