So the other day, I went to the ER for a concussion. Pretty bad one, and my 7th in 8 years. I'm fine and all now, no big deal. But when I was checking in and going through triage, I was asked a question that I have been asked many many times, that we all answer every time we get medical care. Usually it is just a mindless response, but it made me think. The question of "do you want to hurt yourself or someone else, or have you had thoughts of suicide?" All too often is just answered with a mindless "no". But I was wondering, what actually happens if a person were to answer yes? What happens to your right to bear arms? Concealed carry? Any security clearances or high level certifications? Do you get booked into a mental health facility, or can you refuse? How it has always seemed, if you were to answer yes to that question, it is a sure way to screw yourself, and you're not doing yourself any favors.
