Sooooo update ---- Got the parts from Charter in today. And about 15 minutes later have a nicely functioning pistol again. At least as far as I can test without ammo. Swapped in the new "regular" hammer and it solved all the issues with DA and SA both working as expected. The DAO hammer looked to be good to go as well, but I didn't put that one in at the moment and will just hold it. The only thing that I will say I needed to do is that the side of the hammer seemed a little rough and didn't move as freely as I wanted so I polished both side with some 220/400 on a block of reference granite just enough to smooth it just a bit and it positively glides now. So all things considered it was about 35 bucks worth of parts that I needed, and then the other 50 I'll just count as spending extra on "repair insurance". Not a bad option to have the DAO hammer though --- if this became a regular carry, I'd probably swap that in.
