Well my Keltec p3at broke, called for service

They answered and I told them my gen1 p3at I purchased in 2004 had a broken hammer spring and I needed a new one.

In 5 minutes they told me they would send a new one out. They didn’t ask for the SN they said they would send one out today . Now that’s customer service!

I guess keeping it loaded since 2004 took it’s toll, I haven’t shot it in over a year and it was good then.

I lost the extractor taking it apart when it was new, my bad, they sent me 4 free no cost. I’m impressed . This gun been rock solid but mainly carried it, I doubt it has 500 rounds though it

I may buy this seems $35-$45 is a decent deal. My lower if fine but I may get the gray and do a two tone facelift Seems like a good deal to me

My P3-AT has been a solid shooter since buying it around the same time as the OP. Been in the front pocket since then.
Probably 250 rounds through it but it’s never failed to fire no matter what brand of ammo is used in it.
The carry load is Corbon 90 grain that runs 1005 fps.

I've got both a P3AT and a Ruger LCP. The LCP shoots almost 100fps faster than the P3AT with any load.

I cannot imagine shooting a 1000 fps load out of either of them, but especially the KelTec. My hand would go numb.

It’s certainly not a range day load. Pretty snappy recoil but I ain’t skeert of recoil.

Received the hammer spring assembly on Monday. Now that’s the way a lifetime warranty should work! Could have had them do the work but why?. Almost 18 years old no hassle

Too funny, I dug out the box and found they sent me 5 extractors and 3 take down pins. I forgot the takedown pins were slowing backing out on the gen 1’s. Wish they’d sent extra hammer spring assembly’s

I've always liked my Kel-Tecs. I have 4 right now. There's a few I still want...and I've had several others. Always liked the PF9 as a carry gun. Never had to use their customer service but I've heard it's excellent.
