Still bad but with bright spots.

I had to replace the sieve bed in my Inogen portable O2 a couple weeks ago. Luckily it was covered under warranty otherwise I would have had to pay out of pocket about $110. I get the new sieve beds in and it worked fine, twice. Yesterday I was using it and it stopped pumping O2. My O2 levels dropped to 79 and I was starting to get lite headed. I make it back in the house and on my regular O2 but it took me about an hour to fully recover.

The good news is I called Inogen this morning and they are sending a new machine under warranty. To say I am impressed with Inogen is an understatement. Not looking forward to buying new batteries but that is still a ways off I hope. The small battery runs $290 plus tax. :cry3: Needless to say I am saving up for it since it probably will not be under warranty.

Oh I am not down or anything, just a bit frustrated at times. Seems like 2 steps forward and 1 back all the damn time. Oh well this to will pass.

I just had another tooth yanked and they gave me some pain pills so at least for awhile, all the little aches and pains will be gone. :P :P

Rick, I won't ask your medical situation so-as not to intrude, but I know a lot of the endurance athletes and mountain climbers swear by chlorophyll to increase ability to carry Oxygen. You can get it at a health food store; I think that is why some people drink wheat grass juice too. I've heard before that if Lance Armstrong had just used chlorophyll instead, then he would not have gotten in trouble since the reason he took low-dose testosterone was to increase O2 in his muscles.

Also, don't forget the recent story in England of Viagra saving the life of a vented covid patient. They idea is that it increases Nitric Oxide levels and dilated the capillaries to allow more O2 to reach tissues. Beet juice supposedly does the same thing. Sam's club used to sell a rather delicious beet juice powdered drink supplement. Lots of athletes also drink beet juice for the same reason as chlorophyll.

Finally, I seem to recall an account of a guy who had COPD and used a supplement called Cellfood that supposedly raises O2 levels for while and it worked for him.

Best wishes brother with whatever you are dealing with; people here love you man.
