Might have just been startled and fuzzed up its tail? Some bobcats/lynxes do have a rather longish one.

Or maybe he just shampooed & blow-dried it...

As it's walking the back right leg may be kicked up by the tail making it look fuzzy. If not you have a fuzzy tailed bobcat and it'd make a killer hat, lol.

This a honest photo I agree bobcat front end. But what the heck is going on in the rear. I told him try to put out some bait and get other pics. Okie what would be good to use for bait to get more pics
