Went to the range this morning

Haven't been in over 3 months. I was going 1-2 times a week.
Actually, it didn't really excite me much and I can't say I've missed it

there was an interesting butterfly or moth.

I hear you on it not being too exciting. With all the rules imposed by the range (rightfully so) on how fast you can fire, no drawing from a holster, no weapon transitions....shooting at a stationary paper target can become boring rather quickly. Especially with the cost of ammo in today’s environment. Unfortunately, shooting is a diminishable skill and practice is always required.

I've been going more since ammo is getting more available and at not-too-unreasonable prices, but I don't go near as much as I used to.

It does suck to stand there and shoot at piece of paper, but at least we have a little recoil and the smell of gunpowder.

I am the range officer where I shoot, so therefore I and I alone determine what the rules are. A dueling tree and 27pcs of steel plus 2 paper holders I always leave with a smile.

I'm 4 miles away and go 3-5 times a weeks. I don't shoot a long session but try to improve with fewer rounds.

I need to get out and mow mine, but it's too hot right now. I'm going to wait til it cools down some.
