Were can you buy lead ingots to make bullets for black powder rifle in the Oklahoma City area ? Have heard Basspro Shop sells it but not good quality and what I have read wheel weights may be to hard for bullets to be shot in a Springfield Trapdoor .

When I was casting bullets on a regular basis for my black powder rifle, I found a good and fairly inexpensive source for lead from my local plumber supply that still had it on hand for cast iron waste pipe sealing purposes. Don't know if plumber supplies still have it available anymore considering all the lead toxicity hoopla. Another possibility would be lead-acid (automotive) battery recycling centers . . . and yes, wheel weights are too hard for bullet use.
Eye was needen about 10 pounds . Will check out a plumbers supply store or online , one place has free shipping if bye $100 . Thanks to all fer the information.
