What can I shoot from my 9mm can??

I saw an individual shooting a .22lr round thru his 9mm silencer.
I have a YHM M2 9mm can, what calibers can i shoot from it???

.380, .357sig. .22lr..? anything .355 and under?

Is there a big chance of baffle strikes?
have ya done it yourself?

I would say anything smaller than 9mm's that won't over pressure the can, i.e. no rifle if it's a pistol can.

Thats what i was thinking... i know undersized projectiles wont be as quiet... but i was amazed by the sound of a .22lr going thru a 9mm can.

Well I wouldn't go as far as saying "NO" rifle... I know more than a few guys shoot 300Whisper SUBSONIC through their 9mm cans.

If I had a Cobra M2 9mm can I would be willing to shoot it with a pistol chambered in .22, .22 mag, .17HM2, .17HMR, 38 special, 9mm, .380. Including all the pistol ones I mentioned I would shoot it with rifles (<16" bbl) in 357 Magnum. I would also use it to shoot 338 Spectre, 300 Whisper, 300 BLK with subsonic ammunition and around 8-9" barrels or longer.

Was the .22 louder or quieter then the 9mm with the 9mm can? Was the .22 quite enough to go w/o hearing protection? I'd love to get just one can to use on 9mm down to .22lr

I bought a S&W M&P15-22 today just to try it out with my YHM M2 9mm can... stay tuned...ill let ya know when i get to it
