I learned of an ID protection company in one of the other threads that I'd never heard of. Thought a thread dedicated to this subject may help others without messing with the other threads.

So how do you monitor your credit and what ID theft coverage do you use if any?

I tried Credit Karma today. Signed up ok, got an email congratulating me, did the verification form... and now it just goes to a blank page.

Left a message on their "help" page, and got the following in an email:

"Thanks for contacting Credit Karma Member Support! Please note that due to Hurricane Irma, and the location of our customer support center in Florida, we currently have limited operations. As a result, there may be a delay in responding to your support request."

    I can't win fer losin'... :D

NOT LifeLock. They're 116 Million poorer in fines and penalties to the Federal Trade Commission.

Thats odd that they got sued, agreed to pay, and in the last line of the link, it said, "LifeLock said the tentative settlement with the FTC does not require the company to change its current product lineup, services, advertising or marketing practices."
How in the hell do you sue somebody for bad practice and allow them to continue the same services?
