does the S&W M&P pistol fall in? SSP or ESP

Thanks

Just be careful with things like stippling the grip and other non-SSP approved changes, if you want to shoot in either.

In the match equipment checks, a LOT of M&P Pro's were in evidence. They have severely put the hurt on a once nearly all-Glock SSP population. All the M&P's had the "capable of firing with magazine removed" warning on the slide. Many had some nice trigger pulls; some were downright excellent to the trigger finger.

Hey Jack, I know some of the early M&Ps lacked that label entirely, but how does it play into SSP with a recoated/polished slide? Since that label is gone, does it affect the classification of the gun?

IDPA interprets repeatedly that safety devices on an IDPA-use gun, if previously present, must remain active. This extends to features that may be considered as storage safety mechanisms.
