Gun shopping is like woman shopping. How do I know I want it until I get my hands on it? I like trying them both out.
I thought about getting a G36 and having someone remove the finger grooves. I still might.

Be sure to try it first! I had one, and in my hand, it had the worst recoil of any handgun I ever fired. It felt like someone smacked my open palm with the flat side of a 4’ length of 2x4 each time I pulled the trigger. One magazine later, I was putting it away with my hand smarting for the rest of the afternoon. I sold it soon after, which was too bad as it was the only Glock that didn’t feel like I was holding a brick. And my hands are a size L.
I wish they would. I think the gen5 is Gaston's best work yet.
If you are looking for a high capacity 45, try to put hands on a Sar K2 45. It’s a Turkish clone of the CZ97, but has 14 round mags. I really like mine.
