Its on the Red Baron show car. I assume its based off of some old machine gun, kinda looks Browning 1917esque but not really. Is it a match to anything or purely the creators imagination?

The gun is cool, but the car, wow.

Apparently built to match the wildly popular model car and hotwheel. Original motor was a 1914 Mercedes Benz inline 6-cylinder engine used in the Fokker airplane, parts availability was an issue, so they used a Pontiac OHC inline 6.

Buddy of mine had that motor in a Firebird, stock it had a 4 barrel carb, it was surprisingly quick.

Your guess is what I was thinking. A1917 looks very similar to that. Has the big water cooled jacket.
