When I was thinking about a reply to this thread, I discovered I have more “sacred cows” than I thought and too many to list.

Yeah, nothing I have is for sale. I’m sure some of it will go in my estate sale, but I hope they hang on to most of it. The things that I inherited I’d like them to keep. All I can do is make my wishes known, and then hope for my wishes to be honored. That’s it. That’s all we got.

I spent 7-1/2 months mowing lawns, watching dogs, and whatever other kind of yard work I could find to buy a Remington 700 BDL in .30-06 some 30 years ago. I will never part with that one.
I did the same for my ADL. Crazy thing, I still have the receipt and went and found it. $315.00 plus tax to total $333.90. Bought it at Sports World on Lewis in June of 85. Gosh that was a lot of money for a kid that didn’t even have a drivers license.
