What is a fair price for mosin 91/30's these days? Where can one get decently priced ammo?
They're creeping up to around 230-280 bucks for the plain Jane round receiver ones. (check sooner state's website, there's a few on there) About the ammo...the days of the ridiculously cheap surplus ammo are gone. The cheapie stuff is around 40 cents per round now. I wish I would have bought a lot more of it when it was half that much.
I typically use ammoseek.com to compare ammo prices. Maybe someone will respond with a better suggestion. I'd like to find some inexpensive mosin ammo too.
Do yourself a favor and hunt down an M39 for $400 or so. A standard 91/30 is $200+ at this point. Non corrosive ammo can be had for around .50/round pretty easily.
^+1. Yes, for not too much more you can get an M39.
Is $200 a fair price to ask for a Mosin 91/30 with matching SNs?
I think so. You might find one cheaper, but you'll likely be looking for a while.
AIM currently list them @ $269
I got an email today from SOG that said they were running a Halloween sale on 91/30's for $199
