Buddy of mine came upon this and we are bumfuzzled.
I never heard of a 32 gauge special. The 32 gauge is misleading because the bore is rifled and appears to be 45 caliber. Then when you break it open, it has this “plug” looking thing in it. The smaller end of the plug has 5-6 1/8” holes in it. The breach end of the plug appears to possibly accept a primer, so I’m thinking this is a muzzle loader conversion of some sort.
Anyone here know what he’s got on his hands?
