I started a few years ago with a Lee single press and the moved to a Lee Classic Turret press. It is a well built piece of equipment, but still pretty slow in comparison to the progressives. I sold the turret press and bought a Dillon 550B. I load 44 spl/44 mag, 45 acp and 45 colt with the 550B. I have separate tool heads set up for each of those calibers. I have two Dillon powder dispensers on the heads and (total blasphemy) two Lee powder dispensers on two. I use the disc setup on the Lee dispensers and have tweaked the holes to throw exactly the charge I want (OK unless there is a change of powder). I also have a Dillon Square Deal B that is dedicated to 38 spl/357 mag. Never had a minutes problem with that little press. Finally, I have a Lyman turret press that I use to occasionally load a few .380 and 40 s&w. I have a mixture of dies in the presses. I have Dillon dies for the 550 B's, but use Hornady seating dies instead of the Dillon's. I use RCBS dies on the Lyman press. The only press that I've tried and abandoned is a Lee Pro 1000 that I bought to load 9mm with. Between my lack of patience with the primer setup and the lower cost of 9mm ammo, I gave up on that press. I can't honestly say that I gave it much of a chance though. I have no experience loading rifle cartridges.
