What's cost for C-6 transmission rebuild

i have a 68 f 100 that I need transmission refreshed while I have it out. Anyone had a c-6 rebuilt lately? Any places to have one done reasonably in OKC or south?

C4, C6 I just always figured about $2k. I've seen a little below and a little above.

Kings transmission in Wayne did one for me for I think $500 with a new torque converter and a small shift kit. But now that I think about it, it was probably 6 years ago. Hes a strange guy but he knows transmissions.
