Whats the deal with these SSAR-15 bump fire stocks?

I have seen them at the recent gun show (for $349). I dont really want to buy one but I wonder what will happen to the owners of these. I know they come with a letter from ATF...but does that really mean anything?

I know the ATF can change their mind later. Like with the Akins Accelerator.

It requires the operator to provide muscular forward force . This is unlike the Akins Accelerator which had its own spring system. The lack of any mechanical parts may be why the BATFE approved it.

I bet that you could put an AR adapter block on the back of an AK and then run this on the AR tube.

No it won't. Worked fine with my AR 9 but the recoil of the AR22 was to light to make it cycle.
