You get to pick the criteria...but you gotta make one choice.

I shoot .22 the most and have more .22's than any other caliber, but if I had to pick one....it would be 308. Its versatile, accurate, packs a punch, readily available and reasonably priced.

At one time my answer was obvious, however now that I'm a little older and getting more practical than tactical I would go with 308.

300 H&H(Magnum).

It use to be a toss up between my 300 Weatherby, 300 Win Mag, and the 300 H&H.

I know, I know, you stated to pick one round. For Oklahoma huntin' I love my 25-06.

Darn, this is worse than Blonde vs. Brunette. I want to say .45 ACP, but could be an issue putting meat on the table. Sooooooo I will go with the .308 as everybody has one and ammo can be had readily.
