I'm watching this Tulsa Pro championship and I am amazed at the rudeness of people yelling, "IN THE HOLE!" when a guy tees off on a PAR 5. Idiots!

During the Nicholas and Palmer years you could hear a crowd murmur between players taking shots. Now it seems everyone wants to cheer on their favorite golfer especially when they are trying to concentrate between shots. In my opinion, I think it is just plain rude.

Here is an article promoting some of it

Here is one cutting it back a bit

I did just hear a, "LET"S GO BRANDON!"
Go to the masters, they will throw you out for most anything.

I think one difference in having to be quiet in golf as compared to team sports is the football & baseball players have a signed contract & get paid weather they win or lose that particular game. In golf you get paid based on your performance. The difference in making or missing a putt can be thousands of dollars. The prize $ difference between 1st & 2nd place at the pga in Tulsa was over 1million, so missing a putt cause somebody screamed in your backswing can be expensive
