Heading home today and 1/2 a bed of Locust fire wood in my 47 dodge truck.
Some guy behind me in a say 2004 or so chevy flat bed work truck with single wheels in the back but a turbo that is loud is on my tail.
HHHMMM .
I see him roll coal out the pipe and I nail it ...
First gear is done I grab second and he is gaining on me..second gear is done a few seconds later and he is on my tail .... I grab third gear and in that for a couple seconds and this coal roller eases on past me.

WOW!! that truck runs GOOD!
That is what I told him when we slowed down and could hear each other speak.
He said he liked my truck, I said I liked his and man it runs.
He said you do not want to know how much money I have tied up in this truck!
And he said it weighs about 8000 lbs.

YEOW!
He said larger Turbo and larger injectors and beefed up transmission and much more.
Yea I felt under gunned with my old school 350" chevy with cast flat tops and ported GM iron heads and 3.25 rear gears.
We went from a slow roll and I got my doors back he nailed it first and then I hit it and pulled 4 lengths on him instantly.
You do not get those back until after highway speed limits are reached.

Respect for you diesel guys for sure tonight.
:)

Darn heavy firewood, makes me think I should have stuck one of my BBC engines in the truck.
I mocked it up for the BBC when I built it so no issues on fitment.
Fun stuff.
