I am buying direct from the producer. 3 years ago I was paying $10.00/100#, last year $12.00/100# and now $15.00/100#. I buy 1000 pounds at a time. I am buying it in McLoud.

The best price I can get around here is $320 per ton and he’s going to clean it for me next week.
The local elevator doesn’t have enough in the silos to meet their futures so they aren’t selling bulk.
Lots of corn fields around here with one small ear on each stalk if that.
Talking to my guy, it’s cheaper all around to put the cows on the unharvested corn for awhile vs harvesting with the price of fuel and low yields. Very little hay around and it isn’t cheap.
Creeks are drying up so the cows are going to need watered this winter.

Yea that’s way cheaper than you can get it at any mill/elevator. I’d totally do that if I had someone to buy it from!
