I heard him when he was on KFAQ a while back. I have to admit, I'm drawn to his administrative skills at first. Running the jail does require a lot of administrative experience. However, when I look at the problems to solve, cronyism, corruption, and poor administrative decision making, I think the corruption and cronyism has to be broken as a #1 priority. I totally believe that Fitzpatrick is a morally upstanding candidate, but as a reserve TPD officer, I don't think he has the relationships, and operational understanding to keep the wool from being pulled over his eyes. Being able to read a spreadsheet, analyze it, and make good business decision is a great skill to have, but you can't be a one trick pony in this crucial election. There is going to have to be some house cleaning done when the new sheriff arrives, and so we need to go with the most well rounded candidate. That's why I'm going for Luke Sherman.
